THIS PROG: I’m very pleased to have a chat with my friend Rebecca Jeschke, Media Relations Director and Digital Rights Analyst at the Electronic Frontier Foundation. We talk about how the EFF got started, why they’re needed, and what issues are occupying them right now. It turns out that lots in the news is on their radar – the Petraeus affair, MegaUpload and Kim Dotcom of course. Rebecca is also helping EFF in the Open Wireless Movement, which encourages everyone to open their wifi. We also talk about how a talented and smart individual like Rebecca goes from Harvard to a slime line to protecting your (and my) digital rights in an increasingly digital age. Show Notes
